Monica B. Pearl is an expat/immigrant New Yorker living in Manchester, UK
She teaches literature and film and queer studies at the University of Manchester
She is also committed to public engagement, including Intros, In Conversations, and running her famous Queer Salon, a gathering to discuss provocative queer questions
She is a veteran of ACT UP/New York
